SUNDAY SERVICE (10 AM)

Sunday Service at Wayfarers Chapel

Sunday morning services are at 10 AM in the main chapel.  We are lay-led, so our speakers, musicians, and hosts change weekly.  Details about each service are posted at the front door and also available on the chapel CALENDAR.

Please feel free to come early to enjoy walking the labyrinth or meditating by the stream.  And everyone is welcome to stay after service for Coffee Hour - a comfortable opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while visiting with other Wayfarers.  The first Sunday of each month we swap Coffee Hour for Potluck Dinner immediately following the service.

Well behaved dogs on a leash are welcome in services.  If marked service animals are present, please do not try to pet them or allow other dogs to approach them as this may interfere with the service animal's ability to assist their companion.

REIKI — 3rd Wednesday of Each Month, 4-6 PM

Reiki at Wayfarers Chapel

When our "life force energy" is low, we are more likely to feel stressed and/or get sick.  When our "life force energy" is high, we are more capable of being healthy and happy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy".  So, Reiki is basically "spiritually guided life force energy." Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing that treats the whole person - body, emotions, mind, and spirit - creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and wellbeing.  Reiki works in conjunction with other medical therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

In these sessions, one or more Reiki practitioners assist you in addressing your specific desire/concern.  Reiki is performed by the practitioner(s) holding hands on or above the body - whichever is most comfortable for the recipient.

When you arrive at the chapel, please enter quietly, take a seat, and simply enjoy the peaceful, loving energy of the space.  A practitioner will be with you shortly.

Sessions are free and open to everyone.  Donations may be placed in the baskets near the front door.  Check the CALENDAR for dates of the monthly Reiki sessions.

1st SUNDAY POTLUCK DINNERS

Bring your favorite dish and join us the first Sunday of each month for our Potluck Dinner immediately following the morning service.  This is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends and meet new ones while sharing fabulous food.  No need to divulge your famous secret family recipe, but please DO bring a card with the ingredients of your dish listed to help those with food sensitivities make healthy choices . . . and maybe include your name in case someone LOVES that dish and wants the recipe!

WAYFARERS WRITERS GROUP

Looking for a place where you can share ideas, receive constructive feedback, and gain inspiration for your writing?  Join the Wayfarers Writers Group for an opportunity to refine your craft and learn from each other’s unique perspectives and writing styles.  The group meets every Tuesday from 5-6:30 PM in RoseMary’s Chapel.

A few times each year the writers shift from "writing" to "reading" as they share selected works with the community via The Reading Room which is held in the main chapel.  Details for these packed house events are available in the newsletter.

DRUM CIRCLE

Drums and Percussion Instruments

Drumming is powerful.  It helps release emotions (even trauma) through physical movement and meditative rhythms.  It is also fun and amazingly easy!  Drumming on a Full Moon is even more powerful.

Drum Circles are held ON or NEAR the Full Moon.  The date and day of the week changes with moon phase so be sure to CHECK THE CALENDAR HERE for the Drum Circle schedule.

This is a community activity - not a performance.  Come with an open mind and heart, grab your drum or percussion instrument (or use one of ours), claim a spot in the circle, and join in creating fun, health and community through a shared rhythm.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors meets regularly to manage routine operations of the chapel and plan for the future.  All Wayfarers are welcome to attend.  Notices of Board Meetings are posted in the newsletter and on the CHAPEL CALENDAR.

Approved minutes of Board meetings are posted on the CHAPEL DOCUMENTS page.
